Review:
This is the uncut version and features different camera angles to all other circulating videos of this show. The camera work is excellent providing some great shots. The picture quality is very good and suffers from very little generation loss, the picture is fairly dull but is still very good. The audio is open mic sourced and is good but does fall short of the other DVDs of this show. There is a logo on the screen until partway through "Heart-Shaped Box". The credits on the DVD state it is a VID(1) but this is due to a difference in methods of recording generations. The audio and video are a split second out of synch in a few small portions of the DVD on all circulating copies.
THIS A PROPER VERSION OF DVD with NO PROBLEM in "Blew"

Here's a recording of mine which I recorded over 10 years ago direct from a Radio 1 broadcast through my Hi-Fi onto my computer. I recorded that broadcast simultaneously via a 10 metre length cable conected to both the Hi-fi tuner at one end and plugged into the back of my sound card/computer at the other. It was recorded as a continuous Wav file using the program "Syntrillium". I then used the same program to normalise the entire wav file (without clipping), and to then divided it into the various tracks. I then burnt those wav files onto a master cdr. The quality is awesome with the best version of Rock n Roll star ever... A+ all the way. As a Man City fan I love the line, "I live my life for Man City".

The IEM sounded fantastic, almost a straight soundboard. Unfortunately the wide use of mobile / cell phones and the fact I could not get close to the stage meant that the signal was awful. I used the IEM where I could but I estimate only about 30% of the IEM was good enough. AUD source recorded directly in front of one of the repeater towers and sounds as best as the environment would allow with chatter inbetween songs and during the quieter songs.

Tape story:
The venue is at the main Milan horse track (thoroughbred horse racing) near San Siro stadium.
I have located myself in front of the right stack, about 20 m from the stage.
Many people were around me and, unfortunately, some of them used Stone Roses' Reunion Tour music as a background for their conversation.
Anyway the sound is good-to-very good, with only occasional screaming and clapping always in time with music.

What about the show?
It was my first The Stone Roses concert and I enjoyed a lot, but I was disappointed with its short duration.
"Something's Burning", for example, even if still listed in available setlist was definitely not played.
The gig was part of the first edition of a new Milan summer festival (City Sound) held at the Ippodromo del Galoppo.
The setlist is mainly based on the first album and related stuff. Only 2 songs from Second Coming.
"Fools Gold" itself is worth the ticket price.

Technical notes:
- The total running time of the recording was 1:28:10; I have cut the first 2:40 mins (The Supremes' Stoned Love used as intro music) and the last useless 40 secs reducing the master to 1:24:49
- I have amplified the whole recording (+7.0 dB on the left channel, +11.0 dB on the right channel), faded-in and faded-out the first and last 10 secs
- If you burn to audio CD, you will need 2 CDs (CD1: 01-08; CD2: 09-15)

A few mistakes on the tracklisting on the CD cover, corrected here.
One of the first show of the Second Coming Tour, the band is in excellent form, ian's vocal are quite ok and squire is excellent sometimes experimenting (listen daybreak at 1:30 Squire goes metal!) Fantasticaly, there's no horrible piano player like on the end of the second coming tour.

This was a cool show from the Second Coming era. And as the Threepeat seems to be doomed more and more, it might be the last of the decent live shows from them.
Covering the 95 songs as well as the 90-91 era, a real nice mix that needed some work. It was thin, and the mid-range dominated causing a heavy guitar experience, which has been evened out in the remaster.
